Lauren Graham was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Donna Grant and Lawrence Graham who was a lobbyist for the candy industry. Her father came from New York and her mother came from the American South, and Lauren is of Irish, English, and Scottish ancestral roots. She grew up within Northern Virginia, USA (Fairfax, Arlington, and Great Falls, VA) Graduate of Langley High School, McLean, VA A graduate of Barnard College with a Bachelor's Degree in English.
